It’s been a huge weekend for the WWE hosting two big events back to back at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York. You know the deal by now, this post contains the results from the show so turn your heads away now if you know want to know what happened.

*Random Thoughts*

This was a show full of questionable finishes; I’ll start with the main event as that left a sour taste for many fans. For the record, Brock & Undertaker battled in an intense match and made use of the time it was allotted. Undertaker got positive reactions throughout. There were suggestions that he would be booed, but that wasn’t the case because people respect him too much to boo him. Being a Legend has its perks. Originally I thought it was a botched finish, but the replays did show that Undertaker did indeed tap first. It’s a finish that will upset fans because they want to see decisive outcomes at big events. I guess they’ll be a rematch come WrestleMania 32.

I bet Vince put Brock over his knee after he flashed the middle finger. How dare you do things like that in front of the children, Brock Lesnar. What can’t you be a good role model like John Cena? Shame on you >: – (

‘Glory, Glory Brock Lesnar’ needs to be made into a t-shirt and Undertaker needs to do more mock laughing in future matches.

I would never have imagined beforehand that I would be writing about Jon Stewart costing John Cena the title. Bang goes his chance to be included into the celebrity wing of the Hall of Fame. It’s going to be one of those memorable moments where people will be talking about it for a long time. It was obvious what was going to happen as he was looking and edging towards Cena with the chair, but you can’t take away the moment. It truly was a huge shock!

I’m so glad Rollins is still champion because he’s been entertaining for the most part. His performance was simply phenomenal. I’ll be interested to see what becomes of the US title. Will it be unified with the WHC or will it be vacant? I’m going with the latter. Set up a tournament with guys like Neville, Kevin Owens, Cesaro, Stardust and Ambrose with the finals taking place at Night of Champions. Cena has done a great job in restoring prestige; let’s hope they can make something of the title going forward.

I think the double countout between Ziggler & Rusev was used to set up a mixed tag match at NOC with Lana & Summer Rea getting involved. I do think the double count out wasn’t needed though. They could have had Rusev get a cheap win. The work was fine, just a lame finish. Speaking about Lana, she’s officially scrapped the business suits in favour of what can only be described as something that a teenage girl would wear at a [insert popular boyband name here] concert. It looked ridiculous. She also needs to be more animated at ringside now that she isn’t a heel anymore, but it’s early into her face run and given the time it’s going to be a role that she will blossom in.

I loved everything about the tag title match. The work rate was top class and everyone involved deserves the praised. I’m glad New Day won because they are the best team in the company right now and my favourite act in WWE today. My God Big E’s post match celebrations are hilarious. Check it out!

Stephen Amell deserves credit for proving that he belongs in the ring. His selling was believable and he didn’t botch any moves. I wish he had better ring attire on instead of just shorts. They were billing this match up as if it were something out of a comic book, if that’s the case then why could he come out in full on Green Arrow attire? The fact that he and Stardust weren’t involved in the finish could possibly lead on to another match later down the road.

I’m a little surprised that Becky Lynch was the one to get the win in the Divas match. I was under the illusion that Charlotte would win it for her team because of how strong she’s been booked in recent weeks. I figure they went with Becky because she’s a talented performer so they wanted to give her a chance to shine on a bigger stage. They could make a story out of it where Charlotte faces Nikki at NOC and Lynch turns on her out of jealousy because she’s the one who got the win for her team here. Just as long they take the Divas title off Nikki because she’s such a boring champion.

I loved the intensity shown by Kevin Owens. He was a man on a mission after failing to recapture the NXT title and he wanted to take his frustrations out on Cesaro. I want this feud to continue because both guys just click. Remember what I said about the US title tournament? Have these guys in the finals, give them 20-25 minutes and just watch them bring the house down.
Overall Show Rating (out of 10): 7
Some of the matches I would watch again, but nothing stands out as a match of the year candidate. It’s a mixed bag of a show. The talent is definitely there, but the booking could have been better. Aside from the Stewart interference, there wasn’t anything surprising or shocking in a four hour show.
