It’s the news we’ve all been dying to hear, Daniel Bryan WILL make his in-ring return at next Tuesday’s Smackdown TV tapings (Jan 13th). This is marvellous news as I was unsure whether or not Bryan would ever wrestle again. He announced his intentions of competing in the Royal Rumble match last year, but for him to work a TV taping is a bonus.
2014 offered so much promise for Daniel Bryan. He won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 30, also defeated Triple H in the opening match and married Brie Bella. It was the perfect start to the year. I can’t help but imagine just how different 2014 would have been had he not been injured. I’m sure he would have won a ton of awards at the Rif Rasslin Awards if he was fully fit.
As expected, WWE is pushing Bryan’s return as the main attraction in the advertising for the show on Tuesday night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where WWE will tape the first edition of WWE Smackdown to air in its’ new time slot on Thursday night on the SyFy Network. Personally, I think it’s a great thing to have his return on Smackdown. Smackdown has been treated as the B-Show for so long and this will no doubt get people to tune in to the show. Let’s hope this trend continues throughout the year not just WrestleMania season. Who will he face? Not sure but whoever he’s up against its just nice to finally see Daniel Bryan back competing in a WWE ring after such a turbulent year.
YES! YES! YES!
